Remember 3407 Project

“May they rest in peace and wake up the rest of us.”

The Remember 3407 Project is a movement started by concerned members of the U.S. Airline Industry.  In light of the recent crash of Colgan Air flight 3407 in Buffalo, New York, we believe that certain recent trends in airline safety require immediate attention.  As such, we are seeking regulatory change in the industryRemember 3407 project buffalo new york plane crash Continental Connection Flight 3407 Colgan Air flight 3407 Bombardier Q400 Dash 8 dash eight 50 people killed airplane stall in flight icing stick shaker Marvin Renslow Rebecca Shaw pilot fatigue Pilot commuting crash pad layover pilot error NTSB FAA ALPA tailplane icing Stick pushed pilot compensation aviation safety airline safety Federal Aviation Regulations FARs localizer glideslope flaps sterile cockpit check ride checkride Gulfstream Air International pay for job PFJ PFT regulation standardization One level of safety pilot contract pilot domicle pilot compensation pilot rest Crew rest flight crew duty time flight crew duty hours

Mission Statement:

"Remember 3407 Project contends that current standards and regulations regarding fatigue, scheduling,  work rules, and compensation at U.S. airlines are outdated and insufficient. Remember3407 believes that the current process for addressing and enforcing airline labor and rest standards are inadequate and too easily circumvented.

The Remember 3407 Project seeks to correct laws and regulations through an Airline Labor Reform Act

Remember 3407 Project is dedicated to changing inadequate regulations to protect the flying public and airline flight crewmembers from hazardous, inadequate, fatiguing work conditions."

Together, we can all build a safer airline industry.  Unless some of the current trends in airline management and operation are corrected, tragedies like Colgan Air Flight 3407 may in fact become much more common.

Stand with us today.  The life you save may be your own.
